amy

Amy is a proud graduate of Terra Sol's very first Heart & Sol 200-hour Teacher Training, completed in May 2026—which means she's been where you are, and not that long ago.

Amy came to yoga the way a lot of people do: the world got loud, and she needed somewhere quiet. After about three years of practicing regularly in Wilmington, she found that yoga had given her something she didn't know she was looking for—an inner peace and a steadier mind.

That discovery led her straight to the mat as a teacher. She also brings more than six years of group fitness instruction (Pure Barre, since 2020) and a decade of dance training from a previous century, which means her body has a long memory for movement, even when her brain pretends otherwise.

In class, Amy loves building creative, challenging sequences designed to open the body up for deep stretching. Her goal is simple: that you leave feeling stronger than when you walked in—mentally and physically—and maybe liking yourself just a little bit more. All levels are welcome and genuinely encouraged. Expect to work hard, laugh a little, and go home feeling like yourself again.

When she's not on the mat, Amy is a visual design professor, published author, and amateur potter. She lives in Wilmington with her husband, two dogs, and a cat named George Bailey.
