A Fun and Feel-Good Beginners Workshop accompanied with live drumming by Perry Smith
Bounce for Joy is an introduction to rebounding (mini-trampoline exercise) using the bellicon® rebounders. In this workshop, we’ll explore how to safely use the rebounder, a gentle warm-up with particular attention to posture, balance and coordination, followed by a 20-30 minute low impact health bounce and a yummy stretch at the end. A NASA study has found that just 10 minutes of rebounding is equivalent to a 30 minute run, but without the impact on your joints. And the benefits reach even further.
Did you know that you have 656 muscles in your body? All of them are activated by bouncing on the bellicon®. In particular those in your legs, hips, torso and upper body, which in turn helps you to maintain a balanced body. Rebounding is a complete body workout designed to strengthen your cardiovascular system, tone and lengthen your muscles, improve balance and coordination, strengthen the bones, boost the lymphatic system, decrease stress and bring a smile to your heart. This incredibly fun workout is low impact and gentle on your joints. Stability bars are available for those who need more balance support. Modifications and variations are always offered to show you how to take it a little easier or to get more out of your workout.
Rebounders are provided. Bring a small towel and water bottle. You can bounce in sneakers, barefoot or in grippy socks.
