sound immersion

  • terra sol sanctuary 507 Castle Street Wilmington, NC, 28401 United States (map)

with david key, sound therapist

In his unique version of a sound bath, David uses a variety of instruments and sounds to help us shift into deep relaxation, the place of self-healing. A guided meditation and grounding sequence leads to bathing in the gentle, nurturing sounds of frame drum, wind instruments, singing bowls, gong, chimes, and more. Bring yoga mats and anything else that helps you feel cushioned and comfortable lying on the floor, as you bask in the deep stillness of sound. There is a minimum for the workshop, please pre- register.

Bio:

David Key is a sound therapist, shamanic practitioner, and therapeutic musician. He facilitates workshops that introduce participants to the health benefits of sound, and offers group Sound Immersions, his own deep version of a sound bath. David also provides private sound therapy sessions. Relying on rattle, voice, and drum as his primary tools, he uses an interactive approach to help clients release blockages and clear negative patterns.

As a National Board Certified Clinical Musician, David provides therapeutic music in clinical settings like hospice, extended care facilities, and hospitals. Through the science of sound and the brain, he uses gentle wooden flute music to facilitate healing.
